Automotive and auto components

Nisthora for automotive and auto components.

Presses, weld cells, CNC machines and assembly stations run to tight cycle times and tighter delivery schedules. Nisthora shows every station's OEE live, so a slow cell is found during the shift, not in next month's review.

The challenge

What gets in the way.

Line-side delivery pressure

OEMs (the car makers you supply) call off parts daily. A lost hour on one press shows up as a late truck.

Many machine makers

A typical shop has Siemens, Allen-Bradley and Japanese controllers side by side.

Audits

Customers ask where a part was made, on which line and shift, and what happened during the run.

What Nisthora connects to and measures.

Machines

  • Power presses and transfer presses
  • Robotic and manual weld cells
  • CNC lathes and machining centres
  • Paint and coating lines
  • Assembly and test stations
  • Washing and inspection machines

Readings

  • Stroke or cycle count
  • Run / stop signal
  • Good and rejected parts
  • Spindle load and speed
  • Weld current
  • Hydraulic pressure and oil temperature

Typical stop reasons

  • Die or tool change
  • No coil / no blanks
  • Robot fault
  • Quality hold
  • Fixture adjustment
  • Waiting for crane or forklift

These are common examples. Each plant names its own machines and lines, and sets up its own stop reasons, in the words its team uses.

Traceability

Batch for bulk parts; serial for safety parts

IATF 16949 asks for traceability. Bulk parts such as fasteners, clips and seals are traced by batch, which Nisthora does today. Class-A safety parts (brakes, airbags, steering) need per-unit serial tracking; talk to us about your serial tracking needs.

A day with Nisthora

A press line runs a brake-disc batch on the night shift. The press panel shows two short stops tapped as No material and one as Die change. By morning the plant head sees the batch's OEE, the Pareto of stops, and the coil delivery problem behind most of the lost time.

Example for illustration.

How Nisthora helps

Built for plants like yours.

Live OEE per station

Availability, performance and quality for every station, live.

Tap-only machine panel

Operators press Start and Stop, and tap a picture for the stop reason.

Downtime Pareto

The few stop reasons that cost the most, sorted for you.

Maintenance forecast

Which station needs maintenance in the next 30 days, and why.

Anomaly detection

Flags readings that look unusual for that station.

Alerts

Limits on any reading, sent in-app, by email, SMS, push or webhook.

Root cause and fishbone

Find why a problem keeps coming back, and prove the fix.

Works with your PLCs
