Production and HMI

From work order to finished batch, with a panel on every machine.

Nisthora ties every machine reading to the job it was made for. Operators run batches from a simple touch panel, and every unit can be traced back to its machine, shift and batch.

The flow

Four steps, from plan to done.

  1. Work order

A job to make one or more products, in set quantities, by a date.

  2. Batches

Each product runs as its own batch (one product, one run), planned on a line, shift and day.

  3. Start and Stop

The operator presses Start on the machine panel. Only then does machine data count.

  4. Complete

When the last batch is done, the work order closes itself.

Machine panel (HMI)

Tap, don't type.

Every machine gets a panel (a touch screen, also called an HMI, human-machine interface). It is built for operators who are busy, wear gloves, or may not read well.

  • Big Start and Stop buttons in clear colours
  • Stop reasons as pictures: breakdown, no material, changeover, break, cleaning
  • Nobody types a code or an ID, ever
  • The panel remembers its machine, and checks the machine still exists

Work orders and batches

Plan once. Trace forever.

A work order can hold many products. Each runs as its own batch, planned across shifts and days.

  • Split a batch across shifts or days in one popup
  • Batch numbers follow a pattern you choose
  • Batches can close on their own when the target is reached
  • Batch rules are locked to admins, and changing them needs a confirmation

Traceability

Answer "where did this come from?" in seconds.

QuestionWhere Nisthora answers it
Which machine made this batch? The batch record, with every machine it ran on
Which shift, and who was on it?The batch, linked to the shift it ran in
How long did it stop, and why?Every stop during the batch, with the reason the operator tapped
How many were good, how many rejected?Good and rejected counts per batch, straight from the machine
What were the readings while it ran?The full sensor history for the batch's run time

Nisthora traces by batch. If you need per-unit serial number tracking, as some safety-critical parts do, talk to us about your line.
