Unified Namespace

One live, organised address for every reading in your plant.

A Unified Namespace (UNS) is a single place where every machine reading lives, named in a way anyone can understand: company, plant, line, machine, sensor. Nisthora builds and runs it for you.

The address

Every reading has a clear name.

root/company/plant/line/machine/sensor
prishora/acme-components/pune-press-shop/press-line-1/press-04/stroke-count
RootThe platform's namespace
CompanyYour company, unique on the platform
PlantOne factory site
LineA production line or unit
MachineOne machine on that line
SensorOne reading from that machine

Example address for illustration. Every address has the same six levels, so a rule like "everything in this plant" always means the same thing.

Why it matters

What a Unified Namespace gives you.

The whole plant, at once

The latest value of every reading is kept ready. A new screen or system that connects gets the whole plant straight away.

Self-describing

Each reading carries its value, unit, quality and time. Nobody needs a spreadsheet to decode it.

No point-to-point wiring

Systems read from the namespace instead of from each machine. Add a new consumer without touching the PLCs.

Stored exactly once

Live data comes from the namespace; history comes from the time-series database. Nothing missed, nothing doubled.

Your company only

A company's login can read only its own part of the namespace. Every other request is refused.

Edge devices write, not read

An edge device may only publish readings for its own machines. It cannot read anyone else's.

Report by exception

Readings that have not changed are not repeated every second, so the network stays quiet.

Standard MQTT

The namespace runs on MQTT, the most common industrial messaging standard, so your other tools can connect.
